Southern Light Community Church, Invercargill
Welcome to the Invercargill congregation of the Worldwide Church of God!
We are a small but active congregation of committed Christian folk endeavouring to make our community a better place. This challenge, which lies at the heart of our vision for the church in Invercargill is accomplished by offering weekly worship services and discipleship, and helping in the community to assist people where needs have been identified.
The church has been meeting in Invercargill since 1975. Despite our small numbers, we have been involved in the Alpha programme and participated in the Impact World Tour when it visited Invercargill in 2003. In 2007 the Southern Light Community Centre was established and this now forms our chief means of reaching into the community. Members are also heavily involved in supporting the WCG congregation in Rory, Vanuatu. Thus far a meeting facility has been constructed there and plans are well along to build water tanks and eco-friendly latrine facilities in the village also.

Community Outreaching
Basing ourselves from the Southern Light Community Centre on the corner of Conan and Eye Streets, Invercargill, we hope to provide services and literature that will provide for general community needs and give pertinent information about the Christian faith, its values and its associate lifestyle. It is the church's intention to also provide community events that will enable visitors to meet with others of their community and foster relations between them.
